I have worked on brochures of various sizes, created new branding and styles along with leaflets, banners, exhibition stands and other marketing material required using InDesign and Illustrator. I am proficient at creating my own copy and content for our marketing and enjoy being able to work on any areas of the design.
Although I see photography as a hobby, I often get asked to take photos for work, whether that be site openings, product photography or company head-shots. I am very experienced at utilising the tools within Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for retouching, image manipulation and keyword cataloguing.
I designed and built numerous websites using HTML and CSS as well as given detailed briefs for external web development companies to build websites. I am currently improving my company’s website using WordPress and following completing a course in Digital Marketing I am looking to improve its ranking through SEO.
I use 3ds Max alongside AutoCAD on a daily basis creating play schemes and their installation plans. My 3D renders have the purpose of providing our clients with a true to life representation of what their site could look like whilst the CAD plans are used for calculating quantities, costs and positioning of equipment.
Although not often required in my current workplace, I do enjoy filming and editing videos. I am frequently the one at family events and weddings with a camcorder, setting up shots and interviewing people. I mainly use Adobe
Premiere and After Effects for editing or creating visual effects for my videos.
Although I see photography as a hobby, I often get asked to take photos for work, whether that be covers shots, site openings, product photography or company head-shots. Upon completing a photography session I always enjoy developing the photos in the digital sense using Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop if a bit of retouching is required.
I am also experienced in creating cataloguing systems within Adobe Bridge so any users on the Adobe Creative Suite can easily find the photos they are looking for.
Being involved in all areas of design resulted in a natural progression into the world of marketing. I often found the design process was held up by lack of copy and content, I therefore went about learning the necessary skills required to fill the gaps. In 2016 I completed a Digital Marketing course to build upon my self-taught education and give me a better insight into the professional methods used.
Learning and understanding marketing has improved my design method too. Whether it be with print or web based work I now evaluate problems differently and think more about the message I am trying to get across and how the audience may access it.
